German top-flight Bundesliga and second Division Bundesliga 2 will resume on this month following ease on restrictions.
It's now official that German top-flight; Bundesliga and it's second Division, Bundesliga 2 will resume this month after the German Chancellor Angela Merkel has okayed the resumption of the league with the government relaxing restrictions.
The league will be played without fans and behind the locked doors. Thus, it will be become the first major Europe league to return following its halting on early March due to the novel Coronavirus.
It has been reported by media outlets that 15th May is likely to be the date of restart even as German football league (DFL) officials are expected to hold a meeting on Wednesday and decide the exact date off kick off.

It has also been proposed that the two divisions; Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 with 36 clubs be manageable even as the country aims to control economic loss according to the BBC.
"Restarting match activity must be preceded by a two-week quarantine where appropriate in the form of a training camp," stated the government agreement document.
German second Division Bundesliga 2 will also resume even as players have been training since may.
Bundesliga has only nine matches remaining with leaders Bayern Munich topping four points ahead of second place Borussia Dortmund.
It's believed that players in both divisions have been training since early April though under limited contact and few numbers at a given training session.
Bayern Munich leads the table four points ahead of Dortmund with nine matches to play.
Even as the 10 players on the Bundesliga had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
